Colorado Rocky Mountain Tour
August 17-21, 2009
The diverse and magnificent beauty of Colorado can be conveyed in no better way than to experience it first hand. As many will attest, the 1999 “Nines Run the Rockies” tour provided the opportunity to see more incredible features of Colorado than many will experience in a lifetime. Plans for the 2009 tour include a visit to all four of Colorado’s National Park systems including Rocky Mountain National Park featuring the 12,183 ft. high Trail Ridge Road. Daily excursions will take you to world famous ski towns such as Vail, Aspen, Snowmass and Telluride. Other tour highlights: Explore ancient Anasazi Indian cliff dwellings; ride a scenic route on a turn-of-the-century narrow gauge railroad; see beautiful canyons and picturesque mountain lakes, visit Colorado’s “grand” canyon and Little Switzerland; see historic mining towns (ever heard of Baby Doe?); soak in the world’s largest hot springs (also featuring a water slide and naturally heated swimming pool); drive the spectacular Million Dollar Highway and many other National Scenic Byways.
Tour registration is separate from the SOC registration. "Saabs Run the Rockies" will begin 8:00 am August 17th with the tour check-in meeting and will conclude August 21st with a tour banquet. Complete details will be supplied upon registration.
