Rocky Mountain Saab Club

The Rocky Mountain Saab Club is for Saab owners in and around the Denver, Boulder, and Front Range Areas of Colorado, USA. Come join the fun and meet other Saab enthusiasts. Owners of any Saab model are welcome... 93, 95, 96, 97, 99, 900, 9000, 9-3, 9-4X, 9-5, even the 9-2x and 9-7x.

This Global Saab Rally is now being organized for January 14th & 15th, 2012. Current status is 59 cities (and growing) in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America have already scheduled this event.

The Rocky Mountain Saab Club of Colorado will be doing our part by hosting the local Colorado rally at Denver’s Red Rock Park in Morrison, Colorado at 10:30am on Saturday Jan 14, 2012. We will support the world wide event and show our support for the investors currently trying to Save Saab from Bankruptcy.

Spread the word! We need to spread the word to as many Saab owners as possible to attend this local event. Our goal is over 100 cars and 200 owners.

The goal is somewhat similar to our 2010 Rally, where we gathered as Saab enthusiasts trying to influence GM to sell Saab and not liquidate the company. The situation is even more serious with the fate of all Saab’s company assets tied up in a Swedish Bankruptcy court. Our fervent hope is that a strong financial backer will enable Saab to emerge from the court proceedings with it’s factory, technology, the Saab museum and most key personnel intact to someday again build the cars we love. Hopefully this world wide event will demonstrate to the buyer(s) that there is still a thriving Saab community eager to purchase new Saab cars.

Saab Convoys from other Colorado Cities
The Denver area rally on Saturday will provide a focal point from Saab convoys coming from the Ft Collins, Boulder, Colorado Springs and other cities. We will take group photos of cars and people to forward to SaabsUnited.com to be posted on the web site along with the many simultaneous rallies all over the world.

Look for further information if you are driving from Colorado Springs (Southern), Ft Collins (Northern), Boulder (NW Metro). We will be setting up contacts and locations (see below) to facilitate several Saab convoys to Red Rocks Park.

If you are coming from a long distance and do not wish to attend the main event, our goal is to gather for a group picture from your local area with designated signs. A time has been set to gather at a designated local area. Some will chose not to drive the distance to the final destination however we will at least gather you and your Saab and photograph you as a part of the Colorado delegation. Pick up the caravan to Denver at pre set points. If you just show up at the final destination no later than 11:00am to stage for the group picture.

Our goal is to have as many Saabs as possible in the Colorado photos.

If you are driving from the local area, plan to be at Red Rocks no later than 11:00am. We will have signs posted as you enter the park.

We envision a large convoy of Saabs from Red Rocks to a local restaurant for lunch following the event.
